Singapore’s foresight in terms of tourism has captured global attention. But recent international acclaim is not enough for Singapore as more developments are scheduled to be unveiled in the coming months and will continue for the next few years.
Two years ago the Llion City stood out among other Asian countries as the city-state opened the world’s largest observation wheel. Llast year the world got its first glimpse of the historic first-ever F1 night race on the city’s streets. Yet, Singapore is just warming up in terms of enticing more tourists to experience the uniqueness their city has to offer.
BREATHTAKING BAY
The latest eye-candy in Singapore is called Marina Bay, a garden city set by the bay. With the country’s signature skyline as a backdrop, Marina Bay will be a 24/7 destination presenting an exciting array of opportunities for people to explore new lifestyle options.
Marina Bay is located at the southern tip of Singapore’s downtown district which will further support the city-state’s continuing growth as a major business and financial hub in Asia. This development will provide an opportunity for further urban transformation that will attract more investors and tourists to the city-state.
MARINA BAY SANDS
Another much anticipated development by the bay is the Marina Bay Sands Iintegrated Rresort. Set to open this Nnovember, the distinctive world-class development will feature a casino, two theatres, and a 110,390 sq.m. meeting-and-convention facility as well as three 50-storey hotel towers, among others.
Facilities for the resort will also include the Eevent Piazza which can host up to 10,000 people and a 20,500 sq.m. Art Science Museum whose rooftop becomes an amphitheater for a nightly light and water show.
MORE AND MORE IN THE NEAR FUTURE
But looking forward to the future does not entail forgetting the past. For tourists coming to Singapore for shopping, there will be three new malls to satisfy their shopping cravings–two in Oorchard Rroad (Central and Iion Oorchard Malls) and Sommerset Mall, which will be environmentally inspired.
As Singapore continues its rapid development, it keeps a keen eye on the future. The Rresort World at Sentosa which houses six hotels, a casino, Universal Studios Singapore, The Marine Llife Park, the Maritime Eexperiential Museum, and the Eequarius Water Park are among the list of things tourists will eagerly await. The Rresort World at Sentosa is scheduled to open next year.
